zCart Multivendor E-commerce Marketplace (Vendor functionality)

zCart marketplace is a multi-vendor e-commerce site that includes multiple vendors selling their products and services. Essentially, it is similar to an online mall that houses multiple vendors. Seller’s Registration process:

Seller Dashboard:

The merchant/seller dashboard will be ready as soon as they are registered and will get a shiny and comprehensive dashboard to manage the business effortlessly. Vendor can manage their staff, inventories, warehouses, shipping zones, taxes, handle orders, manage disputes and refunds, communicate to buyers, Promotions, and everything they need.

Catalog:

Vendors can also contribute to building the catalog if the admin allows it. The vendor can add new products from their dashboard. And the Limits depend on their chosen subscription plan during registration. Sellers also can add attributes for categories from their dashboard. It can be determined if a product or not if an item requires shipping or not and also can set a minimum and/or a maximum price for a particular catalog product. This feature can protect the marketplace from fraudulent listings with an unrealistic price.

Create Listing:

After adding products they need to add those products into inventories for uploading products into the marketplace with descriptions. Sellers will add a product key features list for their listings that will be displayed on the quick view windows and also on the product detail page. Products added by a vendor will be also available to other vendors to create listings. Since the marketplace has multiple vendors selling different products, the price of the same product will vary from vendor to vendor. The customer can compare products from different sellers and can purchase the necessary things. Also, a seller can set a minimum order quantity for their listings. Buyers can’t order below this number. Helpful for bulk items or collections. Also, vendors have full freedom of bulk import in the inventory.

Important: Once a listing has been created using the catalog product created by the vendor. The vendor can not edit the catalog product, even if it's created by himself. Its because other vendors can be affected by this action. Only admin or admin staff can edit the catalog.

Full Control Over the Shop:

The vendor will have full control over the shop configuring and other shop-related settings. They can constantly customize their store settings, and information desk and make product reviews visible to other customers. Store insight is a very important part of online business and here sellers can add your business performance, manage customer traffic, track sale records, and also manage the store pages. Vendors can customize their store traffic by making it private or public if they want to. Also, they can add staff members to manage the business. They can manage their staff. A seller can create his own user roles and set permissions for that role.

Maintenance Mood:

The vendor can set the store on maintenance mode to hide all the listings and store pages from the visitors. Helpful for a small vacation from the business. If he wants to close her account permanently, then he can deactivate or remove her listings entirely but hold on to his account for future use. Before you close any vendor account permanently, please cancel and remove his listings and resolve all transactions.

Payment option:

By default, the system is configured like the vendor can receive all the payments from the marketplace after the shopper’s purchasing but the admin can change this system if he wants. Then the admin needs to use Wallet to get all payments by the customers directly to him. Then vendor will request to payout

How to handle order:

zCart notifies the vendor by email when they receive an order. They can change the notification settings in their account settings. After receiving the notification they can handle the order. From the seller dashboard, they will be able to see all the order statuses. Like-

  2. 2. Unpaid Orders.
  3. 3. Unfulfilled Orders.
And vendors can mark paid of the unpaid orders and also make fulfillment if needed. Then they can select the shipping carrier and update the order tracking number so that customers can track the order shipment. Sellers also can send a notification to the customer about the update.

Assign Delivery Boys:

Vendors can have delivery boys to deliver the orders. From this section, vendors can manage delivery boys. . It helps them to manage deliveries of orders in a hassle-free manner. can assign the delivery boys for order and after assigning if needed they also can change the delivery boy.

Important: You’ll need to have the zCart Delivery Boy app and configure it, so that vendor's delivery boys can have access to the orders assigned to them. Delivery boys will not have access to the web panel.

Discount Coupons :

Vendors can organize and design discount coupons for the customers which bring traffic to stores and help increase sales. Vendors can provide special offers of gift-wrapping or custom-packing(Addon) the products of their customers. They can offer free shipping, which can easily catch buyers’ eyes. Buyers still will be able to choose from other premium shipping options. Offering a nice gift wrap can easily make a huge difference and help vendors to get more buyers.

Shipping zone and Rates:

Sellers can create shipping zones and set shipping rates for the zone. But they will be able to include active areas only in their shipping zones and the admin set the active area. Here, they have all kinds of shipping options so they can select which goes best for their product shipping and where they want to ship it. The shipping options can be based on price ranges or the weight of the items in the cart. The system will detect the location of the buyer and show the shipping options available for the zone. The vendor can create and link the shipping carrier with the options. Buyers will see the carrier name when shopping.
